Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ragy Studio ("we", "us", and "our"), an independent game developer based in Egypt, processes information when you use Brain Knockout (the "Game").
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@ragystudio.com.
1. Information We Process
Account and authentication information
The Game creates a Firebase account to save and protect your game progress. You can play with an anonymous account and may optionally link or sign in with Google Play Games.
We process a unique account identifier and the authentication method used to access the Game.
Profile and gameplay information
We process information needed to operate your player profile and game progress, including:
- A system-generated in-game nickname and your selected in-game avatar.
- Country code derived from your IP address, as described below.
- Virtual currency, owned items, subscription entitlements, game energy, and related account state.
- Rank, division, skill values, match and training scores, results, statistics, streaks, and other gameplay progression data.
- Account-deletion request and cancellation status.
Online match information
When you use online match features, we process the profile and gameplay information needed to create, run, secure, and finalize matches.
Brain Knockout does not provide free-text chat.
Country and network information
At account creation, our backend processes your IP address to determine your approximate country or region. We use IPinfo for this lookup and store the resulting country code in your profile. We do not intentionally store your IP address in your player profile.
Device, app, advertising, and analytics information
Google Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, and their service providers may process device and app information, app version, operating system, language, device and advertising identifiers where available, IP-derived approximate location, consent choices, app interactions, ad interactions, and technical information required to provide, measure, secure, and improve their services.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank details.
To verify purchases, grant items or subscription benefits, prevent fraud, and provide support, we process limited transaction information such as product IDs, purchase tokens, order IDs, purchase status, subscription state, expiry, auto-renewal state, and entitlement records.
Feedback
If you submit a bug report or idea through the Game, we process the report type, your message, your Firebase user ID, and submission time.
Do not include passwords, payment information, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information in feedback messages.
Local notifications
The Game may schedule local notifications on your device, such as energy or return reminders, if you enable notifications. These are device-local notifications. The Game does not currently use remote push notifications or cloud messaging.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Game.
- Create and secure accounts, save progress, restore entitlements, and support optional Google Play Games sign-in.
- Run online matches, pair participants, calculate results, display match information, and prevent cheating, abuse, and duplicate rewards.
- Process and verify Google Play purchases and subscriptions, grant virtual items, and provide purchase support.
- Show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads where enabled, and verify rewarded-ad completion.
- Understand game engagement and performance through analytics events and aggregate service metrics.
- Respond to bug reports, ideas, privacy requests, and support requests.
- Meet legal obligations and protect the Game, its users, and our rights.
Where applicable, we process information to provide the Game to you, with your consent, to meet legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and improving the Game.
3. Advertising, Analytics, and Consent
Google AdMob
Brain Knockout may display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device and app information, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, and consent signals, subject to applicable law, your consent choices, and device settings.
For rewarded ads, Google AdMob and our backend process limited reward-verification information to grant rewards and prevent duplicate or fraudulent claims.
Consent choices
We use Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent where required. You can review or change available privacy choices from the Game's Settings screen when the privacy-options control is available for your region.
Google Analytics for Firebase
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Game is used and to improve gameplay flows, features, performance, and stability. We log gameplay events such as match completion, in-game economy actions, purchases, subscriptions, and rewarded-ad reward actions.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- Other match participants: During an online match, the other participant can receive limited information needed for the match, including your generated nickname, selected avatar, country code, rank, division, skill or progression information, in-game identifier, scores, results, and preset emotes.
- Google services: We use Google services, including Firebase, Google Play Games, Google Play Billing, Google Analytics, and Google AdMob, to operate the Game.
- IPinfo: We send IP-address information to IPinfo to obtain an approximate country or region.
- Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights or Terms, protect users or the public, or investigate fraud, security incidents, or abuse.
- Business transfers: If Ragy Studio is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Some advertising-related processing may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain US state privacy laws. Where applicable, available in-game privacy controls allow you to communicate your choices to Google AdMob.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active and for no longer than needed for the purposes described in this policy.
You can request deletion from within the Game or through the Brain Knockout account-deletion page on the Ragy Studio website. After submitting a request, your account enters a 30-day pending-deletion period. You can cancel the request during that period.
If you do not cancel, we delete the Firebase Authentication account and player profile data when the deletion process is completed. We manually review and delete feedback reports associated with the deleted account as part of completing the account-deletion request.
Some records have defined expiry periods:
- Match documents: 7 days.
- Reward-verification requests: 14 days.
- Rewarded-ad transaction records: 90 days.
- Google Play purchase and subscription verification records: 365 days from their latest verification.
These records are removed through Cloud Firestore time-to-live policies. Time-to-live deletion is asynchronous and may occur after the stated expiry time.
We may retain limited information for longer only where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or enforcement of our Terms.
Deleting your Brain Knockout account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. You must cancel an active subscription through Google Play to prevent future billing.
6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have a right to data portability and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To make a privacy request, contact support@ragystudio.com. We may need to verify your request before completing it.
You can manage notification permission through device settings and available advertising privacy choices through the Game's Settings screen.
7. International Processing
The Game uses service providers that may process information outside your country of residence. Our Firebase backend is configured in Europe, while Google and other providers may process data globally according to their own privacy terms and safeguards.
8. Children's Privacy
Brain Knockout is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Game or knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Game, contact support@ragystudio.com.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted connections in transit.
No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game, our data practices, or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
